Inside Look at the UAE’s Presidential Palace That’s Set to Open to the Public!
The United Arab Emirates is on top of the most popular destinations in the region. Although Dubai is the first thing that comes to one’s mind when traveling to the UAE is mentioned, Abu Dhabi is becoming more interesting. There are things happening all the time. In a similar manner, there are new activities and attractions being added to the list of must-dos in the capital.
The latest of the list is no other than the UAE’s Presidential Palace; which is set to open to the public on the 11th of March!
The President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, instructed that the Presidential Palace complex will open a section known Qasr Al-Watan! When the palace is open to the public, visitors will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the UAE’s governing traditions and values. The opening of Qasr Al-Watan to the public comes in line with the UAE’s ambition to transition towards a knowledge-based economy as part of the Vision 2021 National Agenda.
In the west wing, one can learn about the formation of the UAE and its system of governance, and have access to halls typically reserved for official summits. While in the east wing, there is the house of knowledge, where you can explore a vast collection of artifacts and rare manuscripts that highlight the Arab world’s contributions to various intellectual fields including science, arts, humanities, and literature.
