Indie Movie ‘Luxor’ is Making Waves at Sundance and Zeina Durra is the Woman Behind the Magic

Indie Movie ‘Luxor’ just had its international premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, US. The movie received very good feedback and most of the reviews are praising the project. The movie is written and directed by Zeina Durra, is produced by Mohamed Hefzy, and features British Actress Andrea Riseborough.

The movie follows the story of Hana, a doctor that’s trying to find physical and mental peace after the period she spent working at a clinic in Ramtha on the Jordanian-Syrian border, where she specialized in treating victims wounded in the war in Syria.

Zeina Durra was born in London in 1976 to a Bosnian-Palestinian mother and Jordanian-Lebanese father. She had a very esteemed debut 10 years ago at Sundance with her movie “The Imperialists Are Still Alive”.
