In Pictures: Lebanese People Take to the Streets of Beirut to Repair and Rebuild

Throughout history, the Lebanese have been known as people who love life and never give up, regardless of the circumstances. Following the massive explosion that shattered the Lebanese capital on Tuesday, residents took to the streets with broomsticks, gloves, and garbage bags, putting in all the effort they have to rebuild their beloved capital.

Images of people cleaning streets full of rubble and videos of citizens explaining that they will not wait for the government to act, and instead, will do whatever they can to save what’s left of the city, have been circulating across social media.
