In Pictures: Egyptian Photographer @suppermody Gives Us a Glimpse of Ramadan in the Alleys of Qena

It’s that time of the year again where we see Ramadan lamps, colorful decorations, and festive vibes everywhere.

Ahmed Mostafa is a freelance Egyptian photographer, based in Upper Egypt. A few days before Ramadan started, Mostafa took to the streets of Qena, and took photographs of how the locals are preparing and decorating the street for the holy month. And since the beginning of Ramadan, Mostafa has been documenting how the residents of Ezbet Saeed in Qena, are celebrating the holy month. From children playing in the street, to workers gathered to have their iftar or suhour meals together, the photographs made us live Ramadan’s real joy along with them.

Scroll down to take a look at the pictures, and don’t miss Ahmed Mostafa’s account on Instagram to see the full Ramadan series, as well as other authentic work and street photography.
