Hope for Gazan Pilgrims: Saudi Arabia’s New 6-Month Residency

To the south of Palestine are Gazan pilgrims feeling hopeful, as Saudi Arabia is granting a 6-month residency permit to any Gazans in the Kingdom who are unable to return home. Since the announcement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry has praised Saudi Arabia for its assistance of Gaza pilgrims.

The residency initiative is a great step in helping Gazans gain temporary relief until they can be able to safely find a way home. It may take a long while before there’s a way to return, knowing that currently, in Gaza, tens of thousands of people are getting killed, injured, and displaced.

The situation has gotten so severe that it reached the International Court of Justice, with the world waiting to see what will unfold from the ongoing genocide.
