Hollywood Is Coming to the UAE for the World Government Summit
Dubai’s Annual World Government Summit is kicking off in its sixth edition from February 11-13 and all the world’s greatest minds are coming together to discuss the world wide state of affairs. Dignitaries and strong leaders will be discussing key themes at the summit, there will be more than 130 speakers across 120 sessions including more than 4,000 participants from around 140 countries.
On the first day, French Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe, will deliver a keynote speech and Dr Michio Kaku, the Theoretical Physicist and Futurist from the City College of New York, will look closely at the social and technological trends that can impact the world’s future. Maurice Levy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicist Group, will take part in a special session titled How To Brand A Nation.
Among the celebrities taking part in the event are the Oscar winning actors Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker, to talk about climate change.

Whitaker, known for being a renowned actor, was a designated a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Reconciliation in 2012, and he is President and Founder of the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative NGO that aims to create peace building programs to the world.

De Niro will speak in a segment called #ItAffectsYou, “Every day brings news about how we’re sprinting away from common sense and care for our planet,” said De Niro, at an event in New York last year.

Also, the Black Eyed Peas Star and Keen Entrepreneur, Will.i.am will be present for his company I.Am+, which employs about 300 people and will be accompanied by his Co-Founder Chandrasekar Rathakrishnan.
Actress Goldie Hawn, who says her key interest in life is happiness, brought together a team of educators, neuro-scientists and doctors to create a classroom curriculum called Mind Up via The Hawn Foundation that aims to help children grow and learn to lead the world in the future. “I see children as bundles of pure potential,” the actress explains.
