Who says you can’t have a sweet tooth and also be healthy?

Across the region, there has been a rising trend in bringing to life creative and healthy packaged desserts and snacks, ones you can take with you on the go, whether during a quick lunch break or as a road trip snack.

We picked out some of the stand-out products we believe should be on your shopping list:

Luda’s Protein Ice Cream

After spending time in the US and coming across many varieties of nutrient-rich protein ice cream, fitness enthusiast Khaled Waleed came back to Egypt with the goal of introducing protein ice cream to his home country. That was how Luda’s Protein Ice Cream was born.

He spent time in his kitchen whipping his own flavors of protein-based ice cream and ended up with four low-calorie, high-protein choices: Vanilla, Cookies and cream, Buttery Biscuit, and Chocolate Brownie.

Each one has at least 20 grams of protein. With this ice cream, you can indulge in a sweet treat without compromising your fitness and protein goals. You can DM them to order.

KDD’s “Good For Me”

Kuwait also jumped on the healthy dessert bandwagon by creating its very own healthy ice cream. The Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company (KDD), known for its wide assortment of dairy and juice products, just came up with “Good for Me,” a healthy ice cream that has zero percent added sugar, meaning that it is healthier than regular ice cream.

The new product has been launched in three flavors: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Even though it has no added sugar, it will still taste sweet because the ice cream contains plant-based sweeteners like stevia.

Stay tuned as KDD will be launching even more Good For Me products in the future.

Honey Health Dessert’s Spreads

Many parents view any type of spread as unhealthy, especially popular varieties like Nutella. The thing is, there is a way to enjoy your favorite spread without any health scares.

Egypt’s Honey Health Desserts, known for its “guiltlessly delicious healthy desserts” made without added sugars, preservatives, or white flour, has come up with its own line of healthy spreads.

Get ready to add spread to your toast by trying out Honey Health Dessert’s in-house Peanut Butter, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and delicious Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. Each spread is made with natural ingredients and no additives and is packed with healthy fats and nutrients.

J’s Bakery Protein Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate lovers, we know that there are many of you spread across the globe. Many crave a guilt-free way of indulging in the decadence of a milky chocolate bar. Well, Kuwait’s J’s Bakery has come up with a solution. Meet their protein chocolate truffles filled with a smooth and velvety ganache center and packed with protein.

You can gobble these down guilt-free, as they are both vegan and low-calorie desserts. For an added kick of energy, try out their peanut butter protein bombs.

No Dough Bakery Cookies

If neither chocolate nor ice cream is your kryptonite but instead you like to bite into a crisp and chunky cookie or biscuit, then the UAE’s No Dough Bakery is your go-to. This brand specializes in whole food-based, nutrient-dense foods that are vegan and gluten-free.
