Elham Osman, the grandparent of Ibrahim, posted a picture of her grandson on social media with the caption “My lovely grandson, Ibrahim is a huge football lover, and he attended the World Cup in Russia to support our national team. He dreams to enter the stadium in one of our matches holding hands with one of our players. Is there any hope?”
The touching request went viral on social media and thousands shared the request of the loving grandmother, hoping that it will reach someone who can make Ibrahim’s dream come true. Fortunately, it did.
Mohamed Fadl, former footballer and current Head of the Organizing Committee of the Africa Cup of Nations, shared Elham’s post. He wrote on his personal account: “We contacted the family, and Ibrahim will be with us on Saturday. This is a pride and honor for the tournament. May God bless him and makes his heart happy.”
Although the national team lost their round of 16 tie against South Africa, Ibrahim achieving his dream was the highlight of the day.
