Harrods Goes Hotel!
Since we all love our Knightsbridge department store, Harrods, the owners have decided to take it to a whole new level.
Qatar Holdings, the owner of the department store that opened in 1849, announced the launch of Harrods hotels in London, Malaysia, New York, Paris and even plans to build on a site in Sardinia, Italy. Aiming to expand the global image of Harrods, the company’s statement declared that their goal is to establish “luxury retail and leisure sectors.”
Kuala Lumpur is said to be the home to the world’s first Harrods Hotel if everything goes according to plan. With Qatar Holdings partnering with the Malaysian property developer, Jerantas, the estimated budget to build the Harrods hotel stands at around about $627 million, cheap change for companies with that kind of financial backing these 2 have. Also, the hotel is most likely to be situated in the food and shopping area of Kuala Lumpur; Bukit Bintang with 300 hotel rooms, apartments, and of course retail outlets.
With this jaw dropping news, you won’t be limited to just trying on designer clothing or buying yourself diamond jewelry, but you’d also have the luxury of spending the night in the world-famous store, pampering yourself and indulging with its services.
WE SAID THIS: Luxury For Everyone!
