Happily Never After

You know how you sometimes wish you were living in a fairy tale? I think up until now we blame our parents for having us believe there is something called “happily ever after.” Reading us stories to go to bed peacefully actually kinda destroyed us mentally. Well, at least I think so.

Then I came across an amazing photographer, Dina Goldstein, who took fairy tales to a whole new level. She put the happy endings and lucky charms aside and asked: What if all these princesses were faced with what we face today?

“I began to imagine Disney’s perfect princesses juxtaposed with real issues that were affecting women around me, such as illness, addiction and self-image issues,” says Dina.
