Giving Hearts in the Most Unlikely of Places

“What started helping the kids, ended up helping all of us. Because we realized that we are all humans.”

– The words of a man sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Over the last three years, the Peruvian Cancer Foundation hasn’t been raising enough money.

So they came up with an idea: If they could get even the most hardened, cold-blooded people to donate to their cause, then they could get anyone to give.

They paid a visit to the Castro Penitentiary, one of the most dangerous prisons in Peru, filled with murderers, rapists – seemingly heartless individuals. And what they found will truly restore your faith in humanity.

If the lifers can feel sorry for cancer children, I think it’s a shame if we don’t.
