George and Amal Clooney Are Couple Goals in the “March For Our Lives” Anti-Gun Movement
Leading International Actor George Clooney, and his Lebanese Human Right’s Lawyer Wife, Amal Clooney, were spotted participating in the March For Our Lives, in the streets of Washington D.C. The march took place on Saturday across the United States, where thousands of students, parents, teachers, and citizens took the streets in full force to support the anti-gun movement.
In the name of their nine-month-old twins Alexander and Ella, the Clooneys donated USD 500,000 to the survivors of the tragic Parkland, Florida shooting. Before the march, George sent a letter to the students of Marjory Douglas Stoneman High School. “Amal and I stand behind you, in support of you, in gratitude to you. You make me proud of my country again.” Said Clooney.
The Clooneys are always at the forefront of charity! The couple recently partnered with Unicef to open public schools for displaced Syrian refugees in Lebanon and recently donated USD 1,000,000 to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists in America.
The Clooneys weren’t the only celebrities that attended the march, according to Vogue, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Common, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato. In addition to Hailee Baldwin, Jennifer Hudson, Cher, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Amy Poehler, and many more attended as well.
