From Ruby’s Surprise Performance to Dina Taking to the Stage, CIFF Closes With a Bang!
This weekend marked the closing ceremony of one of the most successful editions of the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival. The 41st edition was on point when it came to the films, workshops, masterclasses, and red carpets. It was, by all means, a starstudded event, on the local, regional, and international levels.
The edition was special in several ways, including the amazing ‘Starbot’ videos that renowned director, Cole Walliser, came to shoot during the opening ceremony. The edition also hosted the Game of Thrones superstar, Nathalie Emmanuel, who was able to bless the closing ceremony with her beauty and elegance.
One of the biggest highlights of the 41st edition was the afterparty; it was literally bedazzling! The party was held at the Marriot’s Mena House, the hotel that has, hands down, the most amazing view of the great Pyramids.
The Pyramids weren’t visible at first, until midnight, when they were lit in a spectacular light show that left all of the guests in awe. The show hosted the most popular bellydancer in the Arab world, Dina! And the surprise and highlight of the party was definitely Ruby’s performance!
Ruby started her career as a singer before she shifted to acting. She quit singing and focused on her acting career, but her popularity only increased year after year. Her performance took the attendees completely by surprise, with everyone singing and dancing along in utter content.
