Yumamia just announced they have raised $1.5 million in a pre-series A investment round led by Pure Consulting, a leading Saudi boutique consulting firm. According to the statement, the round takes Yumamia’s total investment raised so far to $2.8mn, making it one of the best-funded startups in Egypt.

The startup was founded by Belal El Borno in 2014. It has recently expanded into corporate catering, adding a business-to-business (B2B) solution.

The financing will be used by Yumamia to fund further expansion in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

WE SAID THIS: Definitely a huge step for the promising food tech startup!
