Egypt Announces The Completion Of Its New Regional Ring Road Connecting Seven Governorates!
Egypt’s Transportation Ministry announced on Sunday the full completion of constructing the new Ring Road. Linking seven governorates between Upper and Lower Egypt, the road spans around 400 kilometers.
According to the Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Authority, Adel Turk, after the final opening of the new Ring Road, they will prevent huge trailers to roam around Cairo roads allowing only the transportation of goods weighing four tons.
With heavy transport and traffic off the main Ring Road, it’ll be easier for road authorities to curb the frequency of the gruesome accidents that the ring road is unfortunately infamous for.
