Department of Culture Abu Dhabi and Bait Al Oud Announce Series of Online Concerts With Legendary Naseer Shamma!
The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) just announced a series of performances with Bait Al Oud musicians and Legendary Oud Player, Naseer Shamma. The live performance series will be called “Visits from Bait Al Oud” and they’ll take place every Wednesday.
The concerts will start at 8:30 PM (GMT+4) starting on the 13th of May. They’ll feature artists from all over the world, who’ll be performing from their home under the artistic supervision of the one and only Naseer Shamma.
“I have found that one of the best ways to deliver the message of hope is through music. The ‘Visits from Bait Al Oud’ series has enabled my friends and me to safely be invited into homes around the world to share a message of hope and solidarity,” said Shamma.
If you don’t know who Naseer Shamma is, he’s a world-renowned Iraqi Maestro who has received more than 60 awards and accolades and released albums in Italy, Egypt, Algeria and the United Kingdom with more than 60 compositions. He is also the UNESCO Artist for Peace and Goodwill Ambassador to the International Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies.
