Breaking: Egypt Announces Official Curfew Updates for Ramadan

One day before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister announced the long-awaited set of updates on how the country will continue its fight against COVID-19 while maintaining the necessary safety precautions during Ramadan.

The minister announced that, from tomorrow, the curfew will be from 9 pm to 6 am, and that shopping malls will be open throughout the week till 5 pm. However, restaurants will continue to operate through delivery and take out, with no dine-in. Following Eid Al Fitr, life in Egypt is set to presume normally, while still taking certain safety measures.

The minister warned that the number of daily cases is expected to rise in the upcoming weeks. Madbouly also stated that he will be following up with the people weekly, for any updates, throughout the month.
