Bassem Youssef Starts Hashtag افتكروهم# in Memory of Missing Detainees

With Jan. 25 just around the corner, the hashtag أنا_شاركت_في_ثورة_يناير# has gone viral and social media is flooding with memories of the revolution days, what it meant to them, how it felt to be part of it versus how it currently feels. Bassem Youssef, the man who never shies away from political debates, stepped it up a notch by adding the hashtag افتكروهم#, tweeting that for three days, today being the last, he will share stories of missing detainees.

Expectedly, not all his followers were on board, and he ended his three-day memorial mission with the following tweets, explaining that his actions do not mean he is a political activist. He merely hopes for change just like everyone else.
