On Monday, hundreds of Protesters went on a peaceful Pro Palestine rally in New York City. Another day in New York City and another Pro Palestine protest, until American news outlets picked up on an incident with Alec Baldwin who happened to be passing by the rally.

The American actor known for projects like It’s Complicated, 30 Rock, and The Departed was passing the Protest by chance when the protesters spotted him and some darted towards him accusing him of supporting Israel. Baldwin loses his temper when one of the protesters told mocked his ‘tanking’ career, to which Baldwin responded ‘Shut your f–king mouth’

When he was asked if he condemned Israel, Baldwin replied, “No, I support peace for Gaza. He then added “You ask stupid questions,” Baldwin could be heard telling one of the protesters. “Ask me a smart question, and I’ll answer your question.

The news of Baldwin’s encounter at the protest was written by American news outlets in a hyperbolic tone that referred to the Pro Palestine protest as “anti Israeli”, and the peaceful act of demonstration was described as “fiery” during which protesters berating, flooding into, and rabble rousing.
