AFCON Director Makes Donations to Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation and Abu El-Reesh Hospital

One name that has made headlines during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is Mohamed Fadl. The tournament director and former Ahly striker was appointed as the manager of Egypt’s organising committee. The ex-player retired in 2017 to become a TV pundit.

During an event attended by members of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and Presentation Sports, Fadl made an EGP 150,000 donation to Magdi Yacoub’s Heart Foundation in Aswan.

Another event that made headlines took place at Abu El-Reesh hospital and was attended by some of the most legendary footballers in the world as Togolese goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilalé. Mohamed Fadl took to social media to announce that a league of footballers came together with AFCON’s organizing team to make an EGP 500,000 donation to Abu El-Reesh hospital.

Fadl encourages everyone to visit the children at Abou El-Reesh and make a contribution.
