A Railway To Link Israel’s Haifa City With Saudi Arabia!
By Nada Hamouda
Israel and Suadi Arabia are cooperating to prepare for the construction of a railway system which would link Riyadh to Haifa, according to an Israeli-state run TV.
The report stated that Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Transportation Minister, Yisrael Katz, held a meeting on Saturday and have agreed on starting consultations with the US, the EU and Middle Eastern and Asian countries to promote a railway.
“Under the proposal, goods could travel by rail from Israel’s port of Haifa through Jordan to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states which might help the Jordan economic status,” the report added.
In November 2017, Netanyahu admitted that despite having no diplomatic relations with Riyadh, Tel Aviv had developed contacts with the Kingdom, which he said “have been kept in general secret.”
WE SAID THIS: Saudi Arabia hasn’t issued any official statement regarding the project, yet.
