The world felt like a better place after everyone heard Ryan Gosling’s acceptance speech. The handsome La La Land actor thanked his lady for her support, adding that she is the only reason he was able to go through with his project. This reminds us of a more local face and friend to the Arab world who has grown to be one of the most respected young adventure seekers out there. He is also a father, and a husband to the late Marwa El Fayed.

In the the latest attempt to break barriers and exceed his goals, Omar Samra recently climbed three completely new peaks on his cross country trek through Antarctica and named them under the most valued loves of his life. The Egyptian adventurer, mountaineer, entrepreneur and inspirational speaker just posted his latest quests and it is the most beautiful tribute we have ever witnessed.

It has always been a dream of mine to climb a mountain that has never been climbed before. And doing so in remote Antarctica was an even greater privilege. In the end I exceeded my own wildest expectations by doing 3 first ascents and 6 new routes. And then I learned that I’d have the honor of naming all 3. But what could these names be? I decided to let my intuition and the aesthetics of these 3 mountains guide me. 3 beautiful peaks standing tall and untouched side by side for millions of years until we finally set foot on them and reached their summit. To me they represent the eternal, grace and purity, and for this reason I decided to name them Mount Samra, Mount Marwa and Mount Teela, after my family name and the two greatest loves of my life. May we always be together. It touches our heart to see that men like this still do exist, carrying so much wisdom, dedication and loyalty no matter how far and wide he seems to go. Omar Samra truly does never cease to amaze us with lessons he unintentionally bestows upon us. Sharing homage to his biggest inspirations we pray that more individuals learn to maintain the same humble behavior that this man seems to pull off so naturally.

WE SAID THIS: A lesson to all learn from the greats, as they still exist.
