‘Straight Outta Somewhere’ Meme Generator Lets Your Rep The #ThugLife

The people behind upcoming biographical film Straight Outta Compton, about the rise and fall of ’80s African-American hip-hop group N.W.A., have created a meme generator for anyone to “rep your city”.

The name of the film is borrowed from the title of NWA’s debut album and depicts the group’s success, stardom, struggles and sacrifices in an era of intense street politics, explosive city riots, gang rivalry, loyalty and betrayal.

The generator is mad clever, allowing you to type in a location and upload your #thuglife selfie, or anything you want. We played around with a bit and here’s what we came up with, below:
