There are some fashion freaks who wait months for fashion week, downloading live-stream apps and drooling over the beautiful artwork on the catwalks. This certainly goes for me.
And then there are others who simply couldn’t care less about fashion week and only stumble across it online or in magazines. This goes for most people in this country.
And then there are the doers who strive to actually be part of fashion week. These people raise local standards by competing internationally and serve as role models for a blooming generation in Egypt. People like Azza Fahmy and her daughter, designer Amina Ghali.

Fahmy recently collaborated with English fashion designer Matthew Williamson, who showcased her beautiful and distinctive jewelry during London Fashion Week.
Williamson’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which debuted on Sunday, featured pieces from the Azza Fahmy for Matthew Williamson line.
Their shared styles, cultural motifs and one-of-a-kind designs form the backbone of this fashion fusion.
The Azza Fahmy and Matthew Williamson collaboration is planned to continue for Autumn/Winter 2014 season as well. Way to go Azza!
