Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi has officially made history by earning a Guinness World Records title for having the most waterslides in a waterpark. With an incredible 55 slides, the Emirati-themed waterpark has taken fun to a whole new level, proving it’s more than just a place to cool off; it’s a record-setting adventure destination.
A Record-Breaking Splash
The milestone was celebrated during a special ceremony at the park, where Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, officially received the Guinness World Records certificate. The award was presented by Hanane Spiers, the official Guinness World Records adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye, making the achievement all the more memorable.
The Expansion That Changed Everything
This record comes shortly after Yas Waterworld unveiled a major expansion, introducing 11 brand-new rides, slides, and attractions inspired by the park’s signature “Legend of the Lost Pearl” story.
Thanks to the additions, the waterpark now boasts more than 70 rides, slides, and attractions overall, with its record-breaking collection of 55 waterslides stealing the spotlight.

Where Emirati Culture Meets Adrenaline
The new experiences aren’t just about bigger thrills; they also stay true to the park’s Emirati roots. Visitors can brave Matamir’s Drop, now the UAE’s tallest waterslide, race friends down high-speed slides, or dive into interactive water adventures designed for every age group.
The expansion continues to blend exciting attractions with Emirati-inspired storytelling, creating an experience that’s as immersive as it is fun.

Another Big Win for Yas Island
With this latest Guinness World Records title under its belt, Yas Waterworld adds yet another reason for travelers to put Yas Island on their bucket list.
From adrenaline-pumping rides to family-friendly attractions, the park continues to cement Abu Dhabi’s reputation as one of the region’s top leisure and entertainment destinations, and it’s safe to say the bar has just been raised for waterparks everywhere.
