Having previously crossed paths earlier this year, back in January 2026 during a Red Bull Mazzika Salonat recording session, Omar Keif and Mousv first locked in creatively alongside Wingii, Arsenik, and Montiyago. The group came together on the cypher track ‘Daf3 Roba3y,’ with Keif handling the full production and arrangement, laying the groundwork for what would become a natural creative partnership.
That session opened the door for a deeper collaboration on Keif’s penultimate single ‘City’, released ahead of his debut album 001. Here, Mousv leans into themes of loyalty, friendship, in a calm, nonchalant flow. On the production side, Keif pulls back from his usual drill-leaning intensity, opting instead for a more cinematic palette with washed-out synths, subtle distortion, and a low-end that rumbles rather than hits.
There’s a late-night stillness running through the track, with transitions that feel almost narrative, following the emotional pacing of the verses instead of forcing momentum. Which is also carried into the visuals too, with night-time city scenes and dim, slightly surreal imagery adding another layer to its introspective feel.
‘City’ follows a steady run of collaborations with artists like Ziad Zaza and Haleem Taj Alser, forming a key part of the rollout leading up to Keif’s debut album 001.
