Why Man City Star De Bruyne Is Considering A Move to Saudi

Now that he is entering the final year of his contract with Manchester City, star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is hinting at the possibility of joining the Saudi Arabia League at Etihad Stadium. The soccer star said that he is “open to everything” and has even discussed moving his entire family.

Throughout his fruitful career, the 32-year-old Belgian player won six Premier League titles and one Champions League. The prospect of a lucrative payday during the later stage of his career is appealing to De Bruyne.

He even admitted that the “incredible amounts of money” is something that the soccer star has to think about especially because of his family.

“At my age, you have to be open to everything,” De Bruyne said to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws. “You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.”

Beyond the major decision that De Bruyne eventually has to make, right now he is focusing on preparing for this summer’s European Championship in Germany with his Belgian international squad. Belgium will be kicking off its tournament on Monday, June 17, against Slovakia.
