The Highlights of Cirque Du Soleil Bazzar at Hyde Park New Cairo
On Tuesday, the renowned Canadian entertainment giant, Cirque du Soleil, made it to Egypt to hold the first of 20 consecutive shows that are scheduled to take place from the 24th of September until the 6th of October, at Hyde Park New Cairo.
Thousands of Egyptians and foreigners from all over Egypt attended the show’s premiere, witnessing two hours of breathtaking performances. Cirque du Soleil’s Bazzar show combines elements of culture, music, and dancing in a vibrant world full of fantasy, color, and life. The show still retains the powerful spirit of Cirque du Soleil, paying homage to its signature style, while simultaneously introducing Bazzar in an artistic merger of creative entertainment.
Hyde Park New Cairo is hosting the largest theater production group in the world for 13 consecutive days bringing its worldly legacy to every Egyptian.
Notably, this is the first time Bazzar, the Cirque’s latest project comes to Egypt which proves to the whole world that Egypt has the capabilities and resources to host such a huge event. As entertainment is one of the main drivers of many tourist journeys, hosting Cirque Du Soleil in Egypt plays an important role in attracting many tourists to Egypt and in positioning it as a hub for recreational tourism.
In the midst of the logic-defying show, the Maestro, Bazzar’s main character, has interacted with the audience using Arabic throughout the show. In his ostentatious outfit he called onto Arabs in the audience saying: “Shokran Masr”. At the end, the audience gave a standing ovation.
Since Cirque du Soleil is considered to be one of the best family entertainment shows in the whole world, the audience came from almost all age groups, with a number of families coming together to see the magic of wild acrobatics, quirky clowns, and mind-boggling illusions.
The audience expressed how much they have enjoyed the show as well as the organization of the overall event, dubbing it one of the most unique experiences they have ever attended.
