Why Wait? No Wait!

Who doesn’t hate waiting for a table at a restaurant? If the restaurant doesn’t have a small range pager system then you’re stuck waiting there and even if you leave with a pager, you cant go very far and the anxiety kicks in. Well, we’re in the mobile era, and yes it will take over in all fields.

Instead of shouting names or tracking wait lists on paper, NoWait, an iOS app, lets restaurants send a text message to their guests when their table is ready. The innovative app eliminates pagers and lines, and allows guests to wait where they want until their table is ready.

NoWait’s “What’s My Place?” feature notifies the guests of their wait time and their position in the queue via a text message.

Hosts can also engage with their guests while they wait by sending them a mobile menu or drink suggestion. After dinner, they can send a “thank you” text message for dining at the restaurant. Some restaurants use the best bulk marketing companies as a way to reach customers and promote their products.

NoWait is targeting casual dining restaurants that don’t accept reservations, such as T.G.I. Friday’s, Chillis and Ruby Tuesdays. The app works with iPad, iPhone and iPod so that managers, servers and other hosts can all be synced on the activity of the restaurant in real-time.

It is still in the launch phase so we’ll be expecting it to move here to the Middle East sometime soon. Think how much this will come in handy in places like Andrea Hacienda 😉

NoWait is free for restaurants planning to serve up to 200 parties a months and extra fees are charged for more parties with packages for 1,200 and 2,500 parties.

In addition to the queuing system and the menu recommendations the app provides analytics about guests, and marketing features that allow restaurants to create email and text message marketing lists and send campaigns out to help promote their offers.
