22 Indian Students Die From School Lunches

Principal on the run, after poisoning 22 Children.  Chief Kumar states that the authorities are now looking for the principal, whose name was not mentioned until now.

The Bihar state Education Minister said that the children were poisoned by an insecticide that was in the food.

Until now, It’s unclear whether the children were intentionally or accidentally poisoned. As 24 remain hospitalized and 22 are dead, worries increase as the school food program feeds more than 100 million children.

Shahi, the Bihar state Education Minister said that the school’s cook had questioned the quality of the oil she was supposed to use, but it was overruled by the school’s principal.

According to the U.S Centers for disease control and prevention, they believe that the poison was organophosphorus, which is commonly used in agriculture.

The U.S Health Department says, that it’s a nerve agent related to soaring gas, which causes irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing, paralysis and seizures.

Everyone griefs in their own way, parents have turned their anger into violence, protests started on Wednesday in Chhapra. Dozens of men attached one of the base kitchens of the Ekta Shakti Foundation, which is a non governmental organization that supplies lunches to more than 1,200 schools.
