Cairo’s Hot Spot Sequoia and Co Has Been Shut Down Till Further Notice!
We’ve always hated breaking bad news, but that’s not something that can remain hidden for so long. It breaks our hearts to say that but our all-time favorite restaurants family, not just in Zamalek, but in Cairo, might have to shut down. All three members of the tribe; Sequoia, Left Bank, and Mirai, just made official announcements on their social media accounts.

According to the announcement, all three will be closed as of Friday the 5th of October, 2018. For some mysterious reason, an order has been issued for operations to stop and for the entire property to be handed over. Even though there are still no legal grounds shared about this, the partners will be working on resolving the matter with the authorities in charge.
They’ve been bringing joy into our lives ever since Sequoia first opened its doors 14 years ago and it just hurts to say goodbye. Until this is all over, hopefully, we’re going to miss the delicious food, the vibrant vibes, and the picturesque view. May our prayers be ever in your favor because Zamalek would never ever be the same again.
