For this week’s app of the week, we highlight one of the most useful tools we’ve seen come along in the Egyptian market.

So many times in our lives have we been stuck with no cash and only our ATM cards and no idea where to find the closest cash machine to save the day.

Googling your bank always poses as a problem – old addresses, non-existent machines and, we have to admit, some of the websites of the local banks are just not mobile friendly.

Cue the 80M – ATM app.

It’s practical, simply designed ATM locator app for your iPhone that helps you locate banks and ATMs around you. It has a comprehensive updated database including over 4,000 ATMs in Egypt, so it works even if you’re out of Cairo.

Amir Allam (of El Menus fame) and Hossam Saraya partnered up to develop 80 M when they recognized the huge demand for the information and were quite surprised to find that no other app in the market fulfills this need.
