The UAE’s Highest Mountain Is About to Become Even More of a Hot Spot
An observation deck is currently being built close to the summit of the highest mountain in the United Arab Emirates, in an attempt to boost adventure tourism in the emirate.
Developed by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), the Jebel Jais Observation Deck will include a series of viewing platforms to experience bird life and flora and fauna of the emirate’s Al Hajar Mountain range, which borders Oman.
“The Jebel Jais Observation Deck will serve as a base camp for hikers and bikers looking to test themselves on the rugged mountain range,” RAKTDA said in a statement. The facility will also house a multi-purpose events arena, picnic areas, access to various walking paths and a food truck zone (yaaas).
