9 Things I Did While Doing My Laundry for the First Time
I’ve been living with my parents my whole life. 20 years to be exact. Never in my life have I ever thought that I’ve been taking them for granted until I had to leave for college to live in the dorms…and do my own laundry for the first time, which made me end up having to get a Washing Machine Repair pretty early on in my independent laundry days.
I’ve only ever purchased one over-priced blue shirt throughout my life, and luckily for me, it had a very stubborn coffee stain. I needed my shirt back

I called my mom 16 times just to understand how the washing machine works, which program to choose and detergents to use

I started loading my washing machine, pressed the start button and started watching TV, enjoying my coffee in utter silence in my new flat

OMG! I just made the biggest mistake in the history of laundry. I forgot to add stain remover with the detergent, and I didn’t even pre-treat the shirt to get rid of the stain first

I ran to the evil washing machine that was basically destroying my life, pressed the pause button and the door just wouldn’t open

I banged on the washing machine like a lunatic until I suddenly had a flashback of Clorox and how my mom used to soak all my stained clothes in it. So I went ahead and took out that brand new bottle of Clorox Clothes that she’d sent me as a gift. Thank you, MAMA!
Somehow the washing machine door unlocked after a minute or less, because apparently that’s how they work. Duuh!!!

I took out the clothes, thankfully they were all safe, and then I soaked my favorite blue silk shirt in Clorox Clothes for 5 minutes, then threw it back in the washing machine

And my life was saved! The stain disappeared

Dear boys and girls who still live with your parents, start doing your own laundry. The first time will make you feel like a toddler crying for mommy
