The UAE is well on its way to conquer space with their concentrated programs and operations in recent times. They are planning on sending the first Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansoori to space this September. Next year, the Emirates Mars Mission (EMM) will be launched, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) will hold an event during the EMM’s science week to talk about the mission. With all of this expansion, the Emirates is trying to increase its expertise in the field, especially amongst the youth.

According to Khaleej Times, the UAE Space Agency (UAESA) is sponsoring 20 kids to spend their summer at the Space and Rocketry Academy Camp. This is the second year in a row the camp is being held.

However, this year Lissy Donald, the managing director of Compass International Space Center, said that they upgraded the camp this year. With more workshops and advanced ones for people who attended last year, the campers will see a drastic change.

Also, this year they will be educating their participants on Al Mansoori and the EMM.  She also said that she was thankful for the UAESA’s efforts in the camps change and its investment in educating the youth. Many children showed their excitement and interest in the camp.

WE SAID THIS: Arabs will soon be joining the final frontier!
