The Elite Stand Up Comedy Show Is Taking Over Riyadh’s Boulevard This Eid
Get ready for a good laugh as The Elite Stand Up Comedy Show is making its way to Saudi Arabia. For the first time, under the auspices of Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority the comedy troupe is going to perform at the Boulevard in Riyadh. Starting from April 26, for three consecutive nights, audiences will get to watch comediennes Taha Dessouky, Ahmed Khairy, Ahmed Essam El-Sayed, Mohammed Helmy, Mostafa Abbas (Toufi), Mohammed Ashraf, and Waleed El-Moghazy perform hilarious skits at the Mohammed El Ali Theater.
The comedy troupe themselves are very excited to be having their first ever regional show and knowing that it’s been a highly requested show by the Kingdom, “we always receive love from Egyptians living there, or from the Saudi’s who attended our shows in Egypt. They always ask if we’ll do shows in Saudi Arabia, we keep receiving messages on our social media accounts showing love & excitement to have us perform there.’
With their recent successful performance during Ramadan in Cairo the Elite Stand Up Comedy Show is primed to go at it again with a bigger performance set to take place in the Kingdom. For this upcoming show, the comedy troupe spoke to us about what they have in store for Saudi Arabia, “our comedy material always stems from our daily life, the things that happen to everyone of us, how we react to situations that occur in our personal and work life. Maybe we’ll do a twist in our material to match with common scenarios faced in Saudi Arabia.” The group is also excited to see how the Egyptian crowd in Saudi will relate to some of their comedic content.
This is a great time to nab a ticket as their shows usually get sold out pretty quickly. Ticket prices start from 200 Saudi Riyals and you can book yours using this link.
