The Armory 2013 NYC Show!

0

For all the Art lovers out there. It is finally out! Yes the infamous Armory Arts Week has been announced for 2013 and it couldn’t be more exciting.

For all those who have no idea what I am talking about but just like pretty things and don’t mind experimenting and doing something different. Every March pretty much everyone in the Art World makes New York it’s humble home where for a week the city turns in to an art frenzied hub.

Located on the Hudson River, Pier 92 is said to cater to all that is Modern art where as Pier 94 will have an array of Contemporary pieces to select from. An estimated 200 galleries and artists are said to be taking part in the years event running from March 7th to 10th.

What is the perk of such an event? Well it’s simple for the duration of 3 days one may travel and visit the world’s most prestigious galleries from Tokyo to Zurich all in one place. Who could ask for more.

The difference this year is that for the first time ever the Armory Show will be launching its first ever “Series of public programming n celebration of the City’s unparalleled artistic communities in a different neighborhood each night.”

Expect events including Special Receptions, Open Studios, Art Tours, Museum Discounts, Performances, Panels, Artist discussions and parties.

Yes New York will definitely be the place to be (not that it ever isn’t). For more information on this event check out their website but for now here is a taste of what to expect:
