The Revart Film Festival’s 2nd Edition in Cairo is Back and Open for Submissions
The Revart Vertical Experience 2021, or RFF, is back in its second edition, and the door for submissions is open until September the 18th!
The Revart Film Festival is one of a kind as it focuses on vertical cinema and mobile photography. Such fields of visual art are often neglected by the mainstream film community as they are considered amateur projects. The creatives behind it are also shunned away from the world of cinema. However, the fields of mobile photography and vertical cinema have been making steady strides, spearheaded by major Hollywood figures like the director of the hit musical La La Land, Damien Chazelle. His film “the stunt double,” was shot exclusively on iPhone 11 and is expected to popularize this genre of film making.
Being held in Cairo’s very own iconic Cinema Radio, Revart Film Festival allows creators to have so much room for creativity with a low barrier of entry. The festival accepts the submission of short narrative films and music videos for selection in the official competition. All submissions must follow the rules and regulations, of course. The committee responsible for the selection process will review the official submissions and shortlist films and music videos. Afterwards, the programming committee will make the final selection from the shortlisted ones.
The Revart Vertical Experience 2021 will be held in partnership with Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment. This partnership comes as part of the effort to preserve and celebrate the heritage and rich history of Cinema Radio. The festival will be held from November 3rd to the 6th.
