Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Gives Back to the Global Community With a Whopping $30m Donation

In these unprecedented times, any kind of help is praised and appreciated, whether big or small, all donations count, as they all make a difference.

Just yesterday, His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s Alwaleed Philanthropies allocated a $30m fund to assist initiatives that are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund seeks to “tackle the health and economic implications of the pandemic, such as manufacturing rapid diagnostic tests for developing countries and reducing the long-term impact of the potential economic fallout of COVID-19”.

“In these times of unprecedented crisis, it is more important now than ever that we pull our resources together in the battle against #Covid19. With many developed nations struggling to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, we must spare a thought for the developing countries of Africa and the less fortunate countries in the Middle East,” said HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal in a statement.

Prince Alwaleed had previously made many of his assets available to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in combating the spread of coronavirus.

Chaired by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, this global philanthropic foundation has been serving more than 189 countries for nearly forty years.
