The Nile Just Turned Brown and Egypt Is Freaking Out
Egypt woke up today to River Nile that looks like a cup of coffee with milk. No one understands how this happened. Some assumed this was the result of negligence while others are jokingly calling it a Halloween prank or the true meaning of the local saying 3amalolna elba7r te7ina.
The two most common and logical explanations are that yellow muddy color was due to the high level of silt as a result of Lake Nasser water shortages due to the Renaissance Dam, while AlYoum AlSabe3 explained this morning that the the turbidity was due to the arrival of floods that hit the provinces of Upper Egypt over the past few days. No official statement has been released.
