For as long as I can remember, we have always had kahk for Eid. It is one of these traditions that remain here and now, no matter how the outside world changes. For generations, families would gather together to knead, cut and stuff the kahk’s dough with malban, nuts and dates. Today, the infamous Eid dessert has become even more popular, sold in multiple shops across the country.

During Eid el Fitr, in Egypt, if you enter any bakery or patisserie shop, you will find rows and rows of the sugar coated biscuit behind enormous display cases. To indulge in the popular dessert, we put together our favorite places across the country where you can buy delicious kahk.
