Lucas & Disney CEO signing deal

In the biggest news since sliced bread Disney has officially bought and swallowed Lucas Films! For you non-geeky film lovers out there Lucas Films is the company behind the UBER successful franchise Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

It is said that Disney purchased the movie and TV production house Lucas films for $4.05 Billion in cash and stock and upon finalizing this deal it was confirmed that Star Wars episode 7 will be released in 2015, as well as other feature films that will continue the Star Wars saga.

We’re not to sure if nerds, geeks, and Star Wars freaks are happy about this decision or disappointed, but fret not George Lucas will stay on as creative consultant for the film until he eventually retires.

Final numbers with regards to the deal has Disney paying roughly half of the price in cash and the rest in 40 million shares, thus having them take full ownership of LucasFilm and their entire portfolio and technologies.

We Said This: If Lucas wasn’t already a baller, now he’s on a whole other level!
