Book worms of the world rejoice! The biggest book club in modern history has just been launched by Facebook’s founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. With a week of Facebook promises of healthier resolutions for the year 2015, Zuckerberg started his own personal reading challenge after asking his followers for suggestions.

“My challenge for 2015 is to read a new book every other week — with an emphasis on learning about different cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies,” Zuckerberg announced to his 31 million followers, adding that he is looking forward to shifting his media diet towards reading books.

Zuckerberg created the Facebook page “A Year of Books”, where he will post his current pick and followers will be able to read along and participate in discussions. It truly is a book club heaven, with 72,000 followers to date, and he only announced it one day ago.

The first chosen book is Moisés Naím‘s The End Of Power, which explores the shift of power from large governments, militaries and other organizations to individuals. One can only imagine the effect of Zuckerberg’s challenge on book sales.

Zuckerberg is known to commit to one major self-improvement goal at the start of every year. Previous annual challenges include writing one thank-you note per day in 2014, learning Mandarin Chinese in 2010, eating only animals he killed himself in 2011, coding every day in 2012, and meeting a new person outside of Facebook every day in 2013.
