Lights, Camera, Action: Time To Submit Your Film To the 7th El Gouna Film Festival!

The El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) has announced opening to accept film submissions for its seventh edition. The renowned film festival is set to take place in the lovely coastal town of El Gouna from October 24 to November 1, 2024. Filmmakers can send in their movies from April 15 to July 15, 2024. 

The festival’s main goal is to pick a variety of films that will charm and entertain the audience with their artistic excellence and great stories.

Films selected for the El Gouna Film Festival can compete for cash prizes totaling $234,000 across different categories. Special awards include the Cinema for Humanity Audience Award for films with a humanitarian theme and the El Gouna Green Star Award for those addressing environmental issues.

Marianne Khoury, the festival’s Artistic Director, expressed excitement about the growing number of submissions, which have risen from 400 in 2017 to over 1400 in 2023. The festival also offers industry events and networking opportunities to facilitate collaboration among filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences.
