Lebanese Army Rescues Over 100 Migrants From Mediterranean
Lebanon has rescued over 100 migrants that were on a boat in the Mediterranean sea in an attempt to reach Europe. The boat holding 125 people found on north Lebanon’s coast was rescued by the country’s army after the boat was hit by technical issues.
The boat carried All of which were Syrians except for one lebanese. The Lebanese army stated that the migrants consisted of twenty-four children and 8 women. For a long time Lebanon has been a land of refuge for migrants from Syria along with Palestine.
Thousands of Syrian people have entered Lebanon illegally in recent months as a result of their country’s deteriorating economic situation.
