The President of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, Makram Mohamed, decided to ban the African edition of the ad series for being racist towards Africans. In the official announcement, the Council confirmed that the ad will harm the Egyptian-African ties that the Egyptian Diplomacy is working hard to fix and maintain.

According to Misr5, the ad was suspended after a complaint that was presented by Ambassador Khaled Amara, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and Director of the Department of African Translations.
