It’s Bala7 Zaghloul Season in Egypt and We Don’t Want to Eat Anything Else
Winter is coming and the signs are everywhere around us. November is just around the corner, the weather is already on a roller coaster of sunny and gloomy days and we finally started spotting red dates everywhere in the streets of Egypt.
For those who have been denying their taste buds of our beloved Zaghloul, you are missing out on Earth’s most precious delicacy. You see it, you salivate then taste it and your insides are nothing but fireworks and the best part is how dry your mouth feels afterwards. Bala7 Zaghloul is not a fruit, it is life, an experience, and this year we’re going to obsess as much as we want during our 3-days-long winter.
We will be munching on red dates in the office
We can’t wait to devour Zaghaleel in the car
Stuffing our faces in front of TV never sounded healthier
Daydream about climbing palm trees and picking dates
We are going to take things a little bit further and try the bala7 Zaghloul Jam
Find the recipe here.
We’ll even get all exotic and Chinese and attempt to make red dates longan tea
Find the recipe here.
Red dates jelly??? Yasss, please

We’ll be filling them with all sorts of nuts
And dip them in Nutella…or the Egyptian version of it
We want nothing but Bala7 Zaghloul till the last day of April
WE SAID THIS: Goodbye world, hello Zaghloul!
