From festivals to films and everything in between, every day new things are popping up. Across the opening months of the year in particular, the UAE is paying close attention to the music scene with its diverse festival lineup that’s got something for everyone. Desert Groove
Set to return for its 10th edition, Dubai’s Desert Groove’s boutique festival that bridges music and art is returning later this month; taking place from Jan.27 to 29 at Dunes Resort, Ras Al Khaimah. With a lineup featuring the likes of hybrid DJs, Who Made Who to Viken Arman, the three-day festival features an eclectic mix of DJs ready to get you up on your feet. From food trucks to market experiences, Desert Groove has something for everyone. InClassica
The festival for the classic aficionados, InClassica, is set to take place at Dubai’s Coca-Cola arena starting next month from Feb. 12 to March 10. The international festival hosts a wide array of classical musicians; from the up-and-coming to the experts, the festival acts as the perfect environment for networking for performers. Boasting various themes of romantic music through Korean concerts to Turkish orchestras, throughout the month, InClassica offers diverse experiences for every classic lover. Wireless Festival
The London-born festival, Wireless is making its way to Abu Dhabi. With a killer lineup featuring Egypt’s Wegz to U.S. rapper, Travis Scott, under the same roof at Ethihad Park, Yas Island on March 11. The one-day festival set to bridge all things urban music and hip hop; an even bigger lineup is set to be announced as the festival date approaches. Ultra
The bigggest independent electronic music festival, Ultra is making its Middle Eastern debut in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island’s Ethihad Park. Taking place from March 4 to 5, the two-day festival is packed with an unforgettable lineup, ranging from DJ Snake to Alesso.
