The German University in Cairo Now Offers Scholarships to Syrian Refugees
In a very warm and dear gesture, the German University in Cairo (GUC) announced that it will be offering scholarships to 10 young Syrians living in Egypt and registered as refugees through the UNHCR.
The German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with Ulm University are offering two-year Master Program in the fields of Engineering or Management Technology starting the academic year 2016/2017 at the GUC.
In their announcement on GUC’s website, the university claimed that such study opportunities shall also serve the goal of preparing highly qualified candidates who could play a set of vital roles in rebuilding their home country Syria once the war is – hopefully once and for all – over.
WE SAID THIS: There’s still good in the world.
