Get Ready for Christmas the Same Way as the British Embassy in the UAE

One of 2016’s biggest discoveries was the Mannequin Challenge. Who knew standing still could be so much fun? The British Embassy in the UAE, of course.

The British Embassy has joined the Mannequin Challenge craze and have posted how they’re celebrating the festive season in the UAE. From members of the embassy on the beach decorating a Christmas tree to pulling a cracker over a dining table, taking selfies with camels and much more.

“With more than 100,000 of us living here in UAE, and around 1.5 million visiting every year, it is little surprise that so many British nationals choose to celebrate Christmas and new year in the UAE,” said Philip Parham, the UK Ambassador to the UAE. “Every year, we at the embassy try to find fun ways to highlight the importance of being aware that our host country – and therefore its laws, customs and traditions – can be different from our home country.”
